Jennifer Grindley appointed as new Head of Communications and External Relations at the Fitzwilliam Museum
Jennifer Grindley has been appointed as Head of Communications and External Relations at the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge.
Jennifer joins the Fitzwilliam from Charleston in Sussex, where she has led a programme of brand and digital transformation, from introducing a new visual identity and tone of voice to developing a new website and on-site digital experiences.
‘I am delighted to be joining the Fitzwilliam Museum at an exciting time of transformation for the organisation. I look forward to working with colleagues and partners to help shape the future of this unique and treasured place, to deepen relationships with audiences in Cambridge and beyond, and to support the growth of the Museum’s already world-class reputation.’
Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum Luke Syson said:
‘I am extremely pleased that Jennifer Grindley is joining the Fitzwilliam Museum in February as Head of Communications and External Relations. These are exciting times for the Fitzwilliam as we look ahead to a programme of ground-breaking exhibitions, displays, community activities and research projects for 2022 and beyond. Jennifer will lead a major rebranding project that I hope will express the very distinctive qualities of the Fitzwilliam, with its superlative collections and its place with a great University - an extraordinary community of enquiring minds serving people everywhere. She will lead a newly reconfigured Communications team that brings together internal and external communications, brand management, our public digital offer, and membership. I know that her wealth of experience in branding, marketing and audience-building, gained in the cultural and commercial sectors, will ensure we can fully convey the energy and passion of our work at the Fitzwilliam, helping to reshape the appeal of the Museum to a larger and more diverse audience than ever before.'
