We are open
We are open

We are delighted to tell you that The Fitzwilliam Museum is now open. Visitor numbers will be limited to promote effective social distancing and to keep everyone as safe as possible. Entry will still be free, timed tickets must be booked in advance. We will be reassessing our capacity levels each week and will issue any updates about more tickets being released on this page.

Our Director, Luke Syson, said:

I’ve been enormously grateful for all the support we’ve received at the Fitz during lockdown. We’ve been able to improve what we do on line and there’s more to come. But without doubt - we’re excited to get back in the building and to be welcoming visitors again. Looking at art isn’t a luxury, it’s an essential.  Art doesn’t really come alive unless we’re there to see it. Welcome back!
