Sunflower Lanyards

Tuesday - Saturday: 10:00 - 17:00 | Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays: 12:00 - 17:00
Closed 24th December - 1st January inclusive. closed Gallery closures and collection updates

Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard discreetly indicates to people around the wearer, including our Museum staff who have been trained to recognise it and what it represents, that they need additional support, help or a little more time. Since its launch in 2016, it has now been adopted globally by major airports and venues and in the UK in an increasing number of small and large businesses and organisations.

If our visitors are exempt from wearing face coverings, for whatever reason, we will issue them with a new Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard which they can wear while in the Museum and take away with them when they leave. This will be recognised by our staff who will not challenge the wearer about not wearing a face covering during their visit.
